If the key blade (the metal part) is worn out or snapped, you’ll need an auto locksmith. Key blades for vehicles manufactured after 1998 are ineffective unless it’s connected to a transponder chip and battery.
A key blade transmits the code from the transponder chip to your car’s brain to allow it to start the engine without triggering the alarm. It’s one of the security features in your vehicle.
Using laser cutting technology, we’ll cut a blade that’s an exact copy of your car key and switch the broken blade with the new blade (if possible). Otherwise, we’ll supply a complete car key but switch the transponder chip instead.
Either way, you’ll have a repaired car key that opens and closes your car as well as starts the engine.
